Operation Cowboy Hat started out simply as a gesture of
love and goodwill from one local
church to encourage missionaries and native pastors
in foreign countries. A cowboy hat given here; a
saddle or two given there. Now, great doors have opened
to many exciting outreach opportunities around the world!
Mission teams are being sent out to work alongside local
pastors and missionaries. Cowboy hats, western clothing,
saddles, tack and gear is being sent “with love”
to laborers in the Lord’s harvest fields in Russia,
Thailand, Mexico
and Africa.
After we committed to send hats and other cowboy stuff
to help with the first “Cowboy Church” in
Russia, Pastor Sergei Timokin of St. Petersburg wrote,
“God is very good to help us. No where you can
have such stuff here - in short, church will be in cowboy
things! People who have hats (few) testify that with hats
on people get tracks from us and ask questions about our
God 10 times more than without!”
Yes, it is peculiar, that something as simple as a “cowboy
hat” is opening doors to show the love of Jesus!
However, we know from stories in the Bible that often
times someone’s “little” became “much”
in the Master’s hands. We invite YOU to be a blessing
to someone in the world through Operation Cowboy Hat!
