What is Operation Cowboy Hat doing in Africa? So glad
you asked!
The country of Uganda is rebuilding after
20 plus years of civil war. Pastor Stephen Kaweesa is
a survivor of the reign of terror brought on by Idi
Amin. Pastor Kaweesa was instrumental in leading the underground
churches during that time period. The Church of the Living
God survived through faith in Jesus Christ and they are
alive and well today, rebuilding and planting churches
throughout Uganda.
The fields of Uganda are literally "white with harvest."
Many thousands of souls are turning to Jesus as their
Savior and Lord through the tireless efforts of local
pastors
such as Pastor Kaweesa. Signs and wonders are following
as many people are healed and set free in Jesus' name.
Two mission teams from the Great Round-Up Covenant Church
have been sent to Uganda to help with various ministry
outreaches and helps under the direction of W.O.M.F.
Operation Cowboy Hat is gearing up to help financially
with the construction of facilities of the new Kawempe
Worship Center. Over 500 members have now been added to
this church that is one year old.
Operation Cowboy Hat also desires to help in the economic
rebuilding of this country by helping to provide a Technical
Institute facility where native Ugandans can learn useful
and marketable skills.
Perhaps you are aware of the tortures and killings of
Ugandans under the rule of Idi Amin. Those people, who
were thought to be "intelligent" or trained,
were killed. Those who wore glasses or could read or had
a watch, could be a threat, and were killed. Thus, many,
many educated professionals were eliminated.
Additionally, Operation Cowboy Hat is planning to send
a team to Uganda next year to help Pastor Kaweesa with
his new church building. Those going will be helping with
actual construction. Also, a radio station is "in
the works" and more information will be forthcoming
about that ministry opportunity.
No problem is too big for God in Uganda! And God is moving
mightily among His people there. Thank you for blessing
